The Dependent Eligibility Verification Program is a single-source enterprise with every detail managed as a seamless, end-to-end process. We utilize our proprietary dependent eligibility verification platform to manage all aspects of the initiative. As leaders in this arena, Budco Health Service Solutions has developed and manages the multi-phase, end-to-end dependent eligibility verification process that assesses the eligibility of dependents listed by employees to continue to receive health care and other employer-funded benefits. This process is a complex undertaking that requires precise communication, meticulous record-keeping, and foolproof security.

Budco Health Service Solutions has developed a multi-phase, systemic approach to managing our clients' dependent eligibility verification programs. Working with our experienced project management office, our clients are seamlessly guided through initial planning and discovery activities that will, in turn, facilitate every aspect of the dependent eligibility verification program.

At Budco Health Service Solutions, security of our clients' data and information is of paramount importance. With all of the security breached in the news of late, Budco maintains that the data and information passed to us from our clients and their employees is some of the most valuable information they possess, and therefore worthy of every effort Budco can bring to bear to protect it.

For HIPAA compliancy, Budco executes business associates agreements with our clients to protect private health information. All Budco employees who come into contact with the dependent audit program are required to have state and federal background checks. Our servers and workstations are protected by Corporate Edition anti-virus with centralized management and virus definition collection and distribution. Data and network operations are protected in a number of other ways. Software and tape drives manage backups of all critical servers. Database servers contain redundant, hot-swappable components, including power supplies, processors, memory and communication interfaces. Data backups are run automatically by a scheduler.

Disaster Recovery

Budco is SAS 70 Type 1 certified as of January 2007, and is currently pursuing the Type II report. SAS 70 allows a company to provide a third-party certification of its internal controls to customers. Plante & Moran, one of the nation's largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms, is guiding Budco through this exhaustive process with experts from their technology practice.

All primary servers, switches, and data communications equipment are connected to redundant power grids, one in Detroit and the other in Highland Park. In the event of a power malfunction, equipment continues to support the local and remote user communities. In the case of an extended power failure, our main power feed switches to a different power grid at the utility. This redundancy ensures uninterrupted electrical power flow to the facility. Power is supplied to the data/communication center through MGE Series 6000 3-phase UPS system. In the event of power failure, an onsite 500kW generator will supply power.
